All Good Things (Come To An End)

In my first relationship I was still naturally freaked out from this commitment thingy and the thought of “for ever and ever.”
My very smart partner at the time kept on saying to me: “Asaf, all good things come to an end.” Without sadness, or anger, just knowledge of things that come to an end.

I am seriously considering polygamy

Do to laziness and a slight case of the blues I didn’t really want to move too much this weekend, so I watched the first 6 episodes of “Big Love” on HBO, I am seriously considering polygamy.
Maybe I should run a list of pros and cons, but for now, just following my instincts, it’s a definite yes!

If you still love me

Boaz Sharabi
Lyrics: Amit Zach
Composers: Boaz Sharabi and Amit Zach

To download this song

If you still love me
I will find
Whatever it is you are missing
If you still love me
I swear
I will be whatever you are not
I will give you as a gift all the secrets of my soul
If you still love me

I will carve stones from the moon
I will give you the treasures of the sea
Anything you ask for
All your wishes
If you are still mine
Still mine

If you still love me
I will makeup words
That only you will understand
If you still desire only me
You will find
In me whatever you look for
And if you feel lost
I am yours in silence
If you still love me

I will carve stones from the moon…

Don’t look for secret meaning
Let the skies open the doors
Only if you still
If you still
Still love me

I will carve stones from the moon…

If you still love me
I will find
I swear

Recurring 15 y/o Hussam Abdu

This video in Hebrew is a news piece covering the events that happened at the Hawara Checkpoint in the West Bank On March 24th 2004. Fifteen year old Hussam Abdu was apprehended at the checkpoint with live explosives strapped around his waist. Instead of detonating the bomb, Hussam voluntarily gave himself up to the Israeli army When asked why he agreed to commit this crime (for 100 NIS, which is about $20) Hussam answered that the people didn’t like him, and that he was promised to get to Heaven. In the weeks that followed Hussam's arrest, news media from around the globe received conflicting reports. The Palestinian Authority claimed that Hussam had been set up by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), while the IDF maintained that Hussam was the latest example of children recruited for suicide missions by terrorist organizations.

Push hard so you can lift, but not so hard that you tip over

"There are an infinite number of yoga asanas." Sri Dharma Mittra

The Asana is a common term used to describe the posters taken during the Hatha Yoga practice, which is the physical aspect of the practice of yoga. The depth of the practice of the asana has sacred elements that are not necessarily visible at tall times. But some Asanas are fun to look at and try to investigate.
This is the story of my investigation of Pincha Mayurasana (Forearm Stand.) At first, as I tried to lift, I was afraid of tipping over: I didn’t kick hard enough to get to a vertical position. After overcoming that fear, I started kicking too hard. Every time I lifted I found myself on my back.
At last, with breath, control and a smile, I was able to lift. By rooting to the ground, I was able to stay up for an extended amount of time. I learned that Pincha Mayurasana is like life: you have to push hard to lift, but not so hard that you tip over.
Once I was lifted in the pose, I also learned that being upside down gives you a different perspective, that rooting is not only from the legs but also from the hands, and that limits that we set in our mind can be overcome by practice, breath, and intention.

As the number of asanas is infinite, you can learn from the physical posture and poses of our bodies and our surroundings at all times and not only during practice. This is a great opportunity to take the practice off the mat and into our lives.

Lyrics

Travelin' thru

God made me for a reason and nothing is in vain
Redemption comes in many shapes with many kinds of pain
Oh sweet Jesus if you're listening, keep me ever close to you
As I'm stumblin', tumblin', wonderin', as I'm travelin' thru
